Dear ACP Member,

The ACP Executive Committee wishes you a pleasant and productive 2024, with many constraints that guide you in achieving your objectives.

We also take the occasion to look back on what we achieved in 2023 together with the community:

In the first quarter of 2023, we were happy to report on the CP 2023 paper deadlines, the organization and sponsoring of the ACP Summer School and our call for awards, as well as a call for bids for CP 2025 and an announcement on a new MOOC on Constraint Programming: https://www.a4cp.org/node/1429

In the second quarter, we shared that next to sponsering CP2023 and the ACP 2023 summer school, we were also giong to sponsor a CP incubator workshop and the CPAIOR 2024 conference. We also shared the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion survey that Andreina Francisco and Andrea Rendl carefully prepared: https://www.a4cp.org/node/1448

The third quarter of 2023 was as usual the busiest. We had the ACP Summer School in Leuven and the CP conference in Toronto. For both of them you can find recordings of many of the talks on the ACP youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@associationforconstraintpr9021/playlists

We also announced the ACP Award winners (congratulations again to Stephan Gocht, Ciaran McCreesh and Mats Carlsson) and reported on the MiniZinc 2023 Challenge and XCSP 2023 Competition: https://www.a4cp.org/node/1449

Finally, at CP we had our yearly 'General Assembly' where we presented and discussed thes and much more, see the slides: https://www.a4cp.org/sites/default/files/attachments/static-pages/72/agm...

And finally, in the fourth quarter we are looking forward to an exciting start of the year, with the ACP Winter School in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France coming up; the AAAI24 Bridge on CP and ML organized by Freder and O'Sullivan, and already a bit more info on CP2024 taking place 2-6 September in Girona, Spain.

Finally, remember to update your ACP subscription by logging into https://www.a4cp.org/user/login and pressing the 'renew now' button.

ACP members get email-based updates on ACP matters, and are allowed to vote on the 2-yearly ACP Executive Committee elections.

We also have a community-run mailinglist: constraints@googlegroups.com

Subscribe at https://groups.google.com/g/constraints?pli=1 for community updates on all things constraints, including job offerings, workshops and special issue announcements.

Best Wishes, Tias Guns, Secretary of the ACP
